This girl just got a job!!! My months of unemployment are coming to an end on November 26! I will be taking a travel nursing assignment in the PICU for 13 weeks at the children’s hospital my boyfriend is working at! Never say never, as I said I would never work in the PICU again, but I guess the stars were aligned and had plans for me to go back to help sick children. And you know what? I’m REALLY excited about it! I’ve worked in the PICU for 4 years. It holds a special place in my heart – the patients, families, work family, hard work, resilience I see, and gratitude I feel for living a beautiful life where I am happy and healthy!
I plan to spend the next month working on my yoga practice, meditation practice, macramé projects, learning how to cook different meals, and working on my ebook. I have come to understand that I allow myself to let distractions into my life very easily, so I am going to make a conscious effort to emit these distractions form my life. I’m going to take a couple weeks off of social media once my Alo challenge comes to an end, which is on October 30. I’m also going to step away from blogging for a bit. I’m going to put my all of my time, heart, and energy towards my ebook I have dreamed of writing!
This ebook was something so close to my heart after I started my blog in May. I have received countless DMs about how to start a meditation practice, how it should feel, how long to do it for, when do you know it’s working, how long you should meditate for, etc. I want this book to be an insightful tool, firsthand from my own practice, into starting your very own daily mediation practice. This ebook will have stories from my past, how I got into daily mediation, how I knew it started working, and how it positively changed my life for the rest of my life.
I want to share my journey and experience with others in a guided outline that will be beneficial for every single human. I want everyone to experience this inner joy, peace, gratitude and overall pleasant state of mind I have cultivated over the past couple of years. I know that this is a true skill that I have had to consistently work at, and it has changed my life in ways that are so hard to explain blog post to blog post. I want to to reach into your mind and connect with you on a deeper level than these blog posts do. I want to be able to guide you to live your happiest and healthiest life. I want the best for your well-being! I know that this is the way that I absolutely love living! I LOVE my life! Even just my daily life, when I’m at home doing laundry or doing dishes, I find a resting bliss face on myself. And I KNOW that it’s because I have cultivated this beautiful mindset! It has changed my life in so many ways, and I can’t reiterate enough how I am in love with every aspect of my life — and you can be too!
I want to include daily mantras, a bank of positive affirmations, a month guide to what meditation you should do on insight timer, and a bank of meditation talks you should listen to while you are doing chores around the house or driving in the car. I will also include the book list and courses I have helped enhance my self growth process.
I want you to truly understand and believe that waking up in the morning and tuning into your breath is one of the most important and underrated things you can do in this life. And THAT is meditation, just paying attention to your breath! Something so simple, but also something that is life changing! Once you take the time to learn more about your true nature, your true well-being, then you will be on the path of enlightenment. And my friends, let me tell you, this is the most wonderful path that you can ever be on in your life!
There is so much more that I want to add to this book. This is just a glimpse into this project that I will be spending my time with, and although I would love for it to be finished by the end of the year, I will allow myself to finish it in the right time. I know that this will change the world. I believe in myself. I believe in you. I believe that we can raise the vibration of this planet all by tuning into our well-being through meditation, exercise/yoga, gratitude, and overall mindfulness!
