Everyone’s happiness stems from different things, places, food, etc. Happiness is found in the core of each and every one of us.
I have come to understand that people enjoy doing different activities that bring them happiness.
However, it rings true that to raising your vibration – through meditation, yoga, gratitude, and mindfulness – leads to happiness, for everyone.
Happiness is a life skill, that like others, needs to be cultivated, worked on, and practiced day in and day out. It comes from within, so it truly is your job to attain your own happiness. But how?
How do you elevate your happiness on a day to day basis? Well, simple. You raise your vibration, every day.
You should meditate, every day. I know that it may be an intimidating thing for some people, but I promise you I was once in the beginner stage of starting my meditation practice. I practiced with my boyfriend, and I found it to be confusing at first, as we would just sit in his living room for 30-45 minutes just listening to a guided meditation. Sometimes I would fall asleep. Other times, I would give myself a pat on the back for staying awake through it all. But then, there were certain times where I “felt” it working. Until when I truly knew it was working. My advice is to keep at it, and sit your bum down, open up your meditation app, find a guided meditation, and just do it. And keep doing it. Day after day. Even if you don’t “think” it’s working, because my friend, I can promise you that it is working. There will come a day where your thoughts will dissolve, and you will enter another part of life and feel so utterly connected to yourself that you will be a beaming ray of love. That’s when you realize you can’t imagine your life without meditation and think how wonderful your enhanced life is going to be for the rest of your life.
You should practice yoga, or exercise in some form (*find what works best for you*), even if it is just for a small amount of time! I’m talking even 5-10 minutes. There’s some times where I hold a plank for a minute, after the day got away from me, and I count that. We all have that time to spare for our well-being. Get your bum out of bed early! Or find time before you go to bed! Or schedule it in sometime during your day! You got this! You can even go through a beginner sequence of yoga -> child’s pose, table top, cat/cow, downward facing dog, rag doll, standing at attention (I will post this sequence on the blog soon), and set your intention for the day. That is my personal favorite, especially on the days where I didn’t get a workout in. It’s as simple as that. You just have to hold yourself accountable!
You also need to express gratitude – not only saying what you’re grateful for in your head, but also saying what you appreciate out loud! I have found journaling to be a wonderful exercise for my gratitude practice. You can journal first thing when you wake up, throughout the day, or even before you go to bed at night. I listened in to a podcast that mentioned how you need to feed your brain “good vibes” right when you wake up in the morning and right when you go to bed. So now, these days, the moment my eyes open from my slumber, I smile, and I thank the Universe for the start of this new day with endless possibilities. When I go to bed, I think of my hopes, dreams, and my ever evolving future. I pray for inner peace and guidance, and the grace of being able to take one day at a time.
This increase in your personal frequency (*that you have the power of doing, or not doing*) elevates your moments of happiness to an indescribable level, but also known as bliss. Pure bliss.
I believe that the key to life is being able to distinguish what brings you joy or happiness to allow your days to be flooded or warmed by these high vibrations.
I wish you every ounce of light and love in your journey to raising your vibration to become the happiest soul you have ever encountered your entire life. I’m glad that I can be part of your journey.
